Cape Cod Convertable Cars- Gas to Electric Cars 2009!

Electric Car Conversion Process

Looking for a cheap electric car? Why not start with a regular car? Cape Cod Recharge Car can help.

With the Cape Cod Recharge Car conversion system, the majority of the car remains unchanged. The electrical system is maintained. The brake and power steering systems require minimal modification. We keep as many systems intact as possible. The goal of our conversion process is transparency: you get in the car, turn the key, and drive away. The only notable difference is that the converted car runs on electricity instead of fossil fuels, so you might want to unplug it before driving off--quietly and without exhaust.

The conversion process is simple, and can be performed in a short time by any moderately-skilled mechanic. The entire process is depicted below with a simple formula. Take a car, remove the stuff you won't need, install the new electrical system, and turn the key. Repeat if desired.

To ease the installation, we have designed each part to work seamlessly with the existing car. Our electrical connections will plug into existing connections and our adapter plates will bolt on with no problem.

Almost any car be retrofitted with our system, but we have picked the Ford Taurus as our first target platform. The "donor" car should be selected for quality — both interior and exterior. Everything but the engine should be in good shape. Why not the engine? Because it will be completely removed in the next step.

All of the unneeded internal combustion system parts are removed. This includes the engine, radiator, fuel tank, exhaust system, and fuel lines. Most of the car remains intact: as many parts are reused as possible. The most notable of the reused parts is the automatic transmission.

In order to allow the electric motor to physically interface with the original automatic transmission, a special adapter plate is installed. To restore the power steering and brake systems, two high-efficiency electric pumps are installed. Many original sensors will be reused. Cape Cod Recharge Car will provide all of the necessary connectors and wire harnesses.

Cape Cod Recharge Car does not design or manufacture electric motors or batteries: entire industries are devoted to perfecting those parts. We will, however, suggest the best sources for motors and batteries. Our "core" products are fully compatible with any battery technology and any DC electric motor. RechargeCar will stay on the forefront as motor and battery technologies continue to advance.

The final part of the conversion process is to install all of Cape Cod Recharge Car's "core" technologies, including the Motor Controller, System Integrator, and Battery Charger. The core functionality of these components are needed for any type of electric car conversion. Our parts provide those functionalities along with seamless interaction with each other and the existing car's systems to provide a completely transparent conversion.

Now you have an electric car! Here is how you use your new car:

Get in, turn the key, put the car into Drive, and depress the pedal on the right. Sounds familiar?

Drive by all the gas stations in town! No more blood for oil!

Have fun, and drive responsibly.
